Well, it’s not everyday you see elephants strutting down the street like they do in Krabi.
Apologies for the photo quality, but I managed to capture this while in a moving van, being amused at a sight I had never seen before living in an urban country like Singapore. The elephants look so grand compared to the motorcycles!
Taken during my trip to Krabi, Thailand in December 2010.
Weekly Photo Challenge: Grand
I went to East Coast Park with one of my girlfriends today and we stumbled upon this spot and totally loved it. The tree branch was hanging and it was the perfect spot to sit and relax on it. I didn’t mean to wear green and be matchy-matchy with nature today, but I am loving the shades of green in this photo. Bright green, blue green, brownish green… Seeing all this green in this photo makes me feel peaceful and relaxed surrounded by nature, being at the beach… A timely reminder for me to relax and take a breather in the midst of the craziness of everything that’s going on. Alhamdulillah. 🙂
Weekly Photo Challenge: The Hue of You
Tucked behind the Filipino market in Kota Kinabalu Central, Sabah, and just beside the night market cum food bazaar lies a mosque by the name of “Masjid Al-Aman”. Had my friend and I not ventured walking inside this bazaar instead of walking by the normal route, we would not have discovered this gem right here. For Muslims, amongst the business of life, it is calming to go inside and have some personal time with God.
mardmood: This post is also part of the series “My Kinabalu Story” based on my expedition to Mount Kinabalu in Sabah, Malaysia on 26th September to 1st October 2012. For more chapters go to ‘Kinabalu Khronicles’ in the Categories section.
